| Susan Hackley is Managing Director of the
Program on Negotiation (PON) a world-renowned
university consortium dedicated to developing
the theory and practice of negotiation and
dispute resolution. Based at Harvard Law School,
PON is an interdisciplinary community of scholars,
students and practitioners affiliated with
Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute
of Technology, Tufts University, and other
Boston-area schools. Prior to that, Ms. Hackley
was a co-founder and acting Chief Executive
Officer of Givenation.com, an Internet company
enabling people to connect with causes they
care about and make charitable contributions
on the Internet. She has broad experience
in communications, public service, corporate
relations and politics. Her political experience
includes serving as policy analyst for numerous
candidates and as Communications Director
for the Massachusetts Democratic Party. She
taught Communications at Alaska Pacific University,
and has had articles and photographs published
in a wide range of publications, including
U.S. News & World Report, National Geographic
Magazine, Los Angeles Times, and the Negotiation
Newsletter. She is a trained mediator and
has a Master's degree from the Kennedy School
of Government at Harvard University. Her interests
include social entrepreneurship as it relates
to negotiation and conflict. |
